How sweet are these smiles...
I LOVE when babies hit the stage when they are really smiling and trying so SO hard to talk, she moves her tongue all around and gurgles.
I love it when her little jaw chatters with excitement and her arms and legs move around.
I always wonder what they would really say if they could!
Faith is so much fun and Oh soo cuddly.

I love that first thing in the morning the kids wake up and want to come give baby morning kisses...

I love that they understand that we are taking care of her and tell people we are "Lucky enough to borrow her for a WHOLE YEAR"...

I love that the kids help each other
with her ...and take turns doing things for her...

I love when everyone is in bed and I get to take the time to rock her...

I feel so blessed by this Tiny Happy little girl in our home!

With Faith in our home...I have wondered....maybe Heavenly father was deeply aware of why he gave me the trial of losing so many pregnancies and keeping very difficult ones...so that I could hold those children that would need arms to hold them....

Faiths first time out (other than Dr.Appointments and visits to the Prison to visit Mama) was her first trip to church the Sunday after Christmas...all the kids looked so cute in their Christmas clothes!

Christmas came so fast....yet there is something so sweet and innocent about having a new born in our home at Christmas time. Anytime I heard the song "A baby changes everything" I would tear up.

Faith has been such a blessing of peace and pure innocence in our home...the kids just love her.
She even had some Grandma time with both of our Mom's.
How cute do all of the kids look in their Christmas Eve jammies!

WHOO-HOOO!!!! Lil' Miss at five weeks has Gained three pounds and is up to a whopping 11 pounds!
We also are trying a new formula ....that seems to be working!
I LOVE this little sweater!
My dear friend Linda gave to me for Gabrielle when she was a newborn, and Gabs didn't get to wear it very much, because she was born in Summer.
It is so fun to have another little girl to dress up again!

Getting Ready for Christmas + Colic

Man were infants and lack of sleep easier in my twenties.
Lil Missie moo...has had major COLIC crying most the day and ALL of the night...I have felt like a giant Zombie....trying to plan out Christmas gifts, do Orphanage updates (I even made Ornaments for the families) and catch up on laundry and decorate for the holidays.....still she has been so fun to have around!

Babies First Bath

What a sweetie!
For the first three weeks we did sponge baths since she still had her little belly button. For her first bath we put a towel in the bottom of my kitchen sink, made the water nice and warm and stripped her down.
She whimpered a little, but then really seemed to LOVE the warm water.

Hey guys ...home from Haiti and really ...REALLY tired. Lil Miss Faith was born on Thursday morning at 9:00 a.m. 8lbs ...and really healthy. Trev got the call and went to the hospital at noon, and stayed there over night. She was brought home on noon on Friday. I was in Miami when I got the call. I was so anxious to get home. I got to Boise picked up the wild three from my Moms and drove the four hours home. yes that means it took me 36 hours travel time to get home this trip...no rest for the weary eh? Faith is doing great. Eating well, sleeping pretty well and just such a peanut. The kids are having a great time helping hold her, feed bottles and taking stinky diapers outside. She already is such a blessing in our lives. It is no small thing when ones so fresh from heaven enter our homes. Because of swine flu...our pediatrician has recommended we not travel or have un necessary guests and people in our home for the next six weeks. So I know ya'll are dying to stop by..but please be patient with us... we really don't want her sick. Love to all, Lindsay

Lil' bit Anxious....

So no baby yet....
I haven't been sleeping well.
Just A LOT on my mind getting ready for my Haiti trip...and baby coming .

Today during church, I looked over at Trev and thought...by this time next week I will be sitting in church with the other half of out family...wishing for air-conditioning...in Haiti...
and he may have sent the kids to church with our neighbor....and stayed home with the baby.
.....but MAYBE not....
Change is a-comin'..... just don't know when.

I was pulled aside by some women at church today...asking what they could do to help...(It really touched me, because we haven't felt like we have fit in that well since we moved in two years ago).... I told them ...if my Husband has a Newborn while I am gone...will you PLEASE feed him?
I am doubting , regardless of the Freezer meals stocked in my fridge that he will remember to defrost and bake them!

We received a bunch of cute and snugly clothes for Faith from Trevs AWESOME cousin Mindy and her Hubby Scott!
The bottles will be great too!

Trevs AWESOME Secratary also hooked us up with a darling car seat....and diapers galore!

My next door neighbor on one side (YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE)went on a mini shopping spree...and I can't tell you how grateful I am!!!!

My other next door neighbor...donated a bouncer seat...from her almost new baby girl....could we be anymore BLESSED?

THANKS SOOO MUCH GUYS!

I am trying so hard not to fret, or over plan....but isn't that what the Mama does?

We have bags packed all over my house!

Meeting "Hope"

I am going to refer to "Faith's" birth mother as "Hope".

We went to the Prison on Saturday Afternoon.
Having never been to a prison of any sort, I was apprehensive and very prayerful.
Infact after arriving at the Womens Prison, Trevor and I shared a short prayer in the parking lot.

We were checked in at the front desk, went through a metal detector and were "wanded" by an officer, the escorted into the "Visitors room. It was full of short tables and chairs. A female and male restroom, a playroom for children were also connecting.
There were many families waiting, and children dressed up in their Halloween Costumes.

There were many vending machines and (Note to self) I will bring in quarters next visit.

We waited for about 15 minutes ...and then heard the automatic door .
In a room 9x8 six women entered. It is a holding room between the cell block and visitors rooms. It visible by a window.
There the women stood, we could see them and them us.

I recognized two of the six women were very pregnant and wondered which was "Hope".
My eyes connected with the smaller built of the two, I smiled at her and she smiled faintly back.
After the women were padded down, they were one by one allowed into the Visitors room.
Trev and I stood and introduced our selves.
What do you say in a situation like this...."Hi I am so-and-so...I will be raising your child until you can?"....I still had a lump of anxiety in my throat that kept me from talking very much or with volume.

We sat down, and with tears in her eyes...all Hope said was "Thank you".

Anxiety gone...I grabbed her hand a squeezed and and told her" It will be BOTH of our blessings".

We had a great visit, sharing our histories. She kept on looking at Trev and saying "He looks (her native land)".
Though she immigrated to the US when she was nine, she still struggled with English fluency.

We had a great visit.I embraced her as I left and told her we would keep praying for both her and Faith.

The spirit was so strong as I left.
There are just moments in your life , you know you are in the exact time and place God would have you be, I feel that way in Haiti all of the time...so why not in a womens prison?

I pray for Hope everyday. She has lost so much in her young life.

Since the complications, spotting and contractions are at bay and her most recent stress test was OK..they are going to let her go until her due date ...the 14th!
Yikes RIGHT in the middle of my Haiti trip!...It will work out, one way or another that is what Faith has taught us....and what this little "Faith" will teach us.

Well, Guess the case worker and the Legal Worker at the prison, spoke to medical and misinterpreted what was going on ...and called me.
Birth mother was having complications and was in and out of contractions....so they called me and told me to GET READY!

Last night I received the call that she was back in her room, so guess I SHOULD have taken advantage and slept!
But the Anxiety and worry for both Mom and baby leave me praying and mind racing...
Sooo Unless something changes , and to my (limited) understanding. Mom will be induced on Tuesday.

We had our visiting passes expedited so we are going to go meet her tomorrow.

Maybe I should start packing for Haiti in the mean time?

HOLY MOLY....
Sooo YES I AM GOING TO HAITI on the 11th....NO I was not planning on the babies coming so soon!
I knew she might go into labor any day, but speaking with the lawyer today...he told me she might be having a CESAREAN nest week!
What the....
I was PRAYING that I would not be in Haiti when they were born....but maybe I should have been MORE SPECIFIC?

Blessings are Blessings no matter when they come right?
Gods Hand was already in it( I have one friend that possibly may be taking them with my other children while in Haiti)and moments after I posted on my facebook account, a dear WONDERFUL friend (whom I soo haven't hung out with and miss) offered to take the babes while I was gone. Can you hear those angels? WOW...
You just can't doubt when you are doing something you are supposed to do when you see Gods hand and love through the goodness and unconditional love of other people...

Still hyperventilating...TWINS in the next couple of days! SERIOUSLY...

Had this question asked a lot today , since we have made the information public.

Well lets JUST say ...I thought I had WAY more than I do.

Last night I got out of good ole' storage all of my baby girl stuff (eight years old) and went through it ...first of all , my oldest bio daughter "Sweet Pea",was born in June ...NOT NOVEMBER...second, I tend to be a giver (BIG Shocker Right?) and through the years as people have needed this and that ...given stuff away.

So pretty much , I have a TON of 3-6 month clothes...some 6-9....and like a days worth of 0-3 month clothing, an hours worth of Newborn and (since they are twins and will be tiny) take home from the hospital outfits for Preemie's.

Help!

So I set out to find a list of "Gotta have items"....and OK some "really darn cute items"...what I want to say next is that I am not asking , begging or expecting anything from anyone...but if Ya'll are interested, I registered at Target for stuff I am still needing.
NOW THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR BRAND SPANKING NEW STUFF...I am WAY cool with used items...this was just a way for me to put out there the list of things I still need.

You can call it CRAZY...
Maybe it is.
We have prayed HARD and long.

We also want to respect the babies Birth Mothers situation, but please know that we empathize and feel for her, parent to parent, mother to mother.
We heard word of the babies situation only one and a half weeks ago.
EVERYTHING has fallen into place.
Every concern weather it be medical, formula and EVEN diapers have been practically handed to us , with in hours of the concern.

We truly believe it is our Father in Heavens will, that we love and provide for these babies. We feel blessed to have these little gifts in our home as long or as short as needs be.
